Much more than a footnote in France's ye-ye music of the '60s, Francoise Hardy was a powerful singer-songwriter.  Adored by the cognoscenti (Dylan, Dali, Godard), she struck a strident, androgenous pose over the fluffy, Bardot-esque pin-ups of her time.  A reissue on 180-gram vinyl and remastered from original tapes, L'amitie was recorded at London's legendary Pye Studios (with Mick Jagger at the sessions).  Should you slip this into your Birkin bag?  Peut etre?  Absolument!
