Sixto Rodriguez's amazing rags-to-riches story was documented in the Oscar-winning film, Searching For Sugarman, yet, it's his 1970 debut that got the ball rolling.  Produced by Motown wah-wah king Dennis Coffey, the tracks glide seamlessly from blues laments to counter-cultural agita to Cream-y, psychedelic fuzz.  (Oddly, Cold Fact went platinum in Australia and South Africa but met with sheer apathy in the States).  In tribute, Rodriguez still tours (last year with Brian Wilson) and receives long overdue royalties from this album.  Lost classic, indeed.
